No surprises. Here's exactly how it works, who can play, and how the winner gets crowned.

Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the United States who are of the age of majority in their state of residence. Employees of theCut, Inc. and immediate family members are not eligible.

Entry Window
You can enter on any day of any month during the 2026 calendar year. Each month is an independent drawing — entries reset at the start of every month, so you've got 12 fresh chances to win.

How To Enter — Free
Download theCut app and create a verified client profile. This counts as one (1) base entry per person, per month. One free entry per household — duplicate accounts will be disqualified.

How To Enter — Bonus
Every dollar spent on theCut merch from shop.thecut.co earns one (1) bonus entry for that month's drawing. A $25 tee = +25 entries, a $55 hoodie = +55 entries. Entries are unlimited — no cap on stacking.

The Prize
Twelve (12) winners total — one per month. Each monthly winner receives a credit applied to their theCut account redeemable toward standard haircut bookings (any participating barber, any service ≤ $50) within 30 days of award. Combined prize pool valued at approximately $2,500 USD.

Drawing & Notification
Winners are selected by random drawing on the last day of each month, beginning January 31, 2026. Each drawing is broadcast live on @thecutapp Instagram. Winners notified by email within 48 hours and must respond within 7 days to claim. Unclaimed prizes forfeit to runner-up.

How Winners Are Chosen
Free entries and purchase entries go into one combined pool for each monthly drawing. Free app entries are tracked by theCut; purchase entries are tracked automatically at checkout. On the last day of the month, both lists are merged and one winner is selected at random from the combined pool.

No Purchase Necessary
Yes, really. Step 01 — downloading the app and creating a free profile — is sufficient to enter. Buying merch simply adds entries to the same pool; it is entirely optional and a purchase will never be required to win.
